Experimental creator sponsorships
Sponsorships are a measure to support route creators. The creator arranges and manages the agreement directly; Rove does not charge or act as intermediary. This sponsorship model is experimental and may change, be suspended or withdrawn in the future; it does not guarantee revenue, reach or permanence. Changes will be communicated through applicable terms and policies.
YouTube advertising loads automatically, muted and inline, and may transmit connection data to YouTube. A static alternative of equal duration is offered. Viewed advertisements are remembered locally by account, route and revision; the server stores only approximate daily aggregated impressions, completions and clicks for up to 25 months, without personal playback history.
How sponsorships work →1. Free account and age requirement
Rove Signal is available to people aged 18 or older. One free account can represent a person, their business or both. There are no organisation accounts, teams or shared editing. Account information must be truthful; accounts may not be shared, transferred or used to access another person’s resources.
2. Catalogue and planning
Without a session, the map shows only the title, cover, region and approximate location. Opening a full route and its files requires sign-in and a current complete profile. If the profile does not match known requirements or a review has expired, we explain the reasons and ask for explicit acknowledgement before continuing. Suspensions, withdrawals and prohibitions cannot be overridden by this acknowledgement.
3. Decisions and safety
Compatibility is calculated from self-declared information and conditions that can change. It does not certify ability, passability or safe passage. The traveller retains control of the vehicle, itinerary and decisions and must verify weather, closures, permits, fuel, health and mechanical condition.
4. Permitted use of GPX files and links
Files and links are provided for personal planning. They may not be sold, redistributed in bulk, extracted automatically, obtained by bypassing access controls or presented as a Rove Signal certification.
5. Individual creator access and per-route acceptance
The same account may apply for individual creator access, without payment or automatic approval. Only the owner may create and change their routes while permission remains active. Before each submission, the creator must confirm MFA and accept the current licence version for the track, text, photos, videos, locations and other included material. Saving a draft does not grant that licence or publish the content.
6. Third-party services
Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, Amazon Location, Esri ArcGIS, email providers and other services retain their own terms. Rove Signal does not control their availability, accuracy or independent processing of data. AWS attribution · Esri attribution.
7. Permitted material and third-party rights
You may include only tracks, text, photos, videos, sound, marks and locations that you created or have sufficient permission to publish and license. You must obtain any required permission from identifiable people and avoid intimate data, licence plates, private access, sensitive locations or material involving minors where disclosure may create a risk. Attribution does not replace the rights holder’s permission.
8. Moderation, changes and suspension
Rove Signal reviews the track and all media. It may request corrections, reject a submission, limit features, suspend routes or accounts and revoke permissions for safety, fraud, infringement, abusive use or breach. Changing a photo, video, its location, order, cover or track requires a new review; the previously published version may remain visible until its replacement is approved.
9. Ownership and reports
Marks, software and compilations belong to their owners. Each creator keeps ownership of their material and grants only the permissions stated in the licence accepted for that submission. Errors, infringement, privacy issues and risky content may be reported for review.
